about the band
ALPCA
~~~~~~~~~
a little place called Aspen is a musical project that began in Ontario, Canada in 2022. A few old friends living their respective adult lives decided to put aside a full day each month they could and drive whatever nonsensical distance needed with air mattress in hand to spend some quality time together. With their musical backgrounds being an integral part of their old ties, inevitably instruments came out at these gatherings. The core band consists of Nick Babcock, Hunter Sheridan, Jordan Moore, Tyler Callan (Sit Still) & Nolan Hubbard with intermittent guest appearances from their musical friends. Each member brings their unique brand of musicianship, creativity & talent to the genre bending sound. Their mutual pop sensibilities and wide array of skillset/experience come together in a harmonious way on each track, blending their voice & musical touch seamlessly on each track. History goes that Ty & Hunter played together in West Hammock between 2017-2020 with Jordan mixing their music at the time. Nick & Nolan met and began making music together in Kingston ON around the same time. The group bonded swifly from early days. They continue working together on this music and their own artistic endeavours to this day; be sure to check out each member’s individual projects. After some thought it was decided that the group would finish and release the ever growing demo bin of music created at these sessions for all to hear. 2025 marks the beginning of ALPCA’s release cycle, check out their first single Back From The Dead coming February 21st.
“I’m lucky to be a part of a lot of creative projects; this is one I look forward to fondly each month. The goal has always been to make the best music we can while staying true to enjoying our time together and I think it shows in the tunes”
Nolan Hubbard, 2025
